Parks and Recreation

The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for a number of functions in the Bristol Bay Borough. The most prominent activity of the department is the operation of the Kvimarvik Swimming Pool.  The Swimming Pool is a place for people of all ages to come have fun, get exercise and most importantly learn to swim.  We are one of only two communities in Bush Alaska to have a pool.  If you have questions or want to inquire about the Pool Schedule you can call 246-POOL (7665).

The Parks and Recreation Department is also charged with maintenance of the Parks and Facilities in the Borough.  This includes Martin Monsen Park, the Transient Campground, King Salmon Park, and the Cemetery.

The Parks and Recreation Department tries to contribute to the quality of life for the people of Bristol Bay Borough by keeping the area looking nice and providing fun, positive recreation options.

<< ** Please see new tabs on the left for more Pool Information! ** <<

Everyone wishing to use the pool will have to possess a pool pass/punch card or pay the daily fee (children under 3 and adults over 60 are free).  All passes/punch cards can be purchased at the pool.

For the safety of everyone using the pool, the pool rules will be strictly enforced at all times.
ANYONE NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE BUILDING.

The pool schedule can change without notice at any time due to lifeguard availability or water issues.  Please call 246-7665(POOL) to check the schedule.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us to ensure the safety of everyone.  Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
